Joy in Everyday Life
Pre-requisite: Meditation in Everyday Life or Contentment in Everyday Life courses preferred, OR introductory meditation instruction at Shambhala (available Sundays at 10 a.m., and Wednesdays at 7 p.m.) and meditation experience.
Shambhala Mississauga Centre Director, Ann-Jean Lennox teaches this impactful course exploring compassion and joy, and how they are inter-related. Through study and practice, we can learn to recognize the patterns that keep us trapped, cultivate more compassion for ourselves and others, and experience joy more frequently in our lives. This course also provides an introduction to the Buddhist concept of bodhicitta, 'awakened heart/mind'.
Monday evenings 7:30 to 9:30, starting March 27th. The course consists of practice, talks and group discussion.
Program Price: $120 This price reflects our commitment to keeping programs affordable. We are grateful for your contribution and we rely on fundraising and donations to cover the remaining program costs
Patron Price: $140 This price helps to cover costs for those that cannot afford the full price. Thanks to you we can continue to offer courses, retreats, meditation instruction, and Open House public meditation sittings.
Repeat Student Price: Students who have already taken this program and are interested in attending again are welcome to pay 50% of the program price. Please indicate that you are a repeat student in the comment box of the online registration form.
Generosity Policy (reduced fee): We believe that no one should be prevented from participating due to financial hardship. We encourage you to pay as much as you're able and we understand that your current circumstances will determine what you can afford. When you register, please let us know that you need to access our generosity policy in the comment box, and offer as much of the program price as you can.
