Join us for a full week of meditation practice, August 11th through 17th (Saturday to Friday).  This week will follow a retreat schedule of 9:00 a.m. to  6:00 p.m.  Participants sleep at home.  Those who don’t live close by can ask to be billeted with someone local if possible, or stay in a nearby hotel.

Schedule will include sitting and walking meditation, instruction, talks, discussion, yoga, meetings with a meditation instructor.   We will also be doing Shambhala Buddhist opening and closing chants at the beginning and end of the day; attendees may participate in chants or listen/meditate, as they wish. 

Lunch will be provided, as well as drinks and snacks, and a light breakfast will also be available for those who want to come in before 9. As with residential retreats, participants will have a 'rota' work period to help to prepare food and keep the centre clean. 

Participants must enrol either for the whole week retreat, or for the whole weekend retreat (see other program posting) as we would like to have a strong practice environment, which will be enhanced if additional people are not coming and going.

Cost:  $420  Includes 7 days of intensive full-day practice, lunch daily plus light breakfast, drinks and snacks. (if you are unable to pay the full fee, you can pay whatever you can afford but a minimum of at least $160 to help cover food and incidentals, and teacher honorarium)

Patron Price:  $460  Your generosity helps us to fund people who can't afford the full program fees for our programs.

9:00 to 12:00 Meditation (walking and sitting) with one shamatha yoga break.

12:00 to 1:30 Lunch, free time

1:30 to 3:00  Meditation

3:00 talk and discussion

4:00 to 4:15 Tea break

4:15 to 5:45  Meditation

5:45 Closing chants.
